One of the common realities of men in recovery is the discovery of an emotional life. So often as children, we learnt that emotions were bad and expressing them was even worse. So we suppressed our emotions and many even lost the ability to name what it was that we were feeling. All emotions are good. All emotions are helpful in guiding us and allowing us to experience life to the full.
