Most of the resources on this website relate to Sex and Love Addiction.
There are also more general recovery material and insights from other 12-step programs prepared by fellow addicts in Australia.
This is not an official SLAA website.
In the early days of SLAA, finding venues that were willing to allow groups to meet in their premises to talk about their sex addiction proved problematic. One pastor suggested finding an alternative name for the group, that would not be quite so provocative to advertise on notice boards. After a group conscience the name Augustine Fellowship arose. As the Basic text states:
“Augustine of Hippo — as those who have read his autobiography, Confessions, know — was probably one of us. The dynamics of Augustine’s story, the inner workings and struggles of the person himself, left us with little doubt that he would have understood, and felt welcome among us.”
